I was just looking at the Races section, and this thought crossed my mind. Should there be a separate category for races that originate in MTG settings (Plane Shift included), since they wouldn't normally be present in a lot of original Dungeon and Dragon settings?
The races on the main page are definitely on the radar to clean up. It's been bugging me for a while, it's just a matter of figuring out what the best way to do that is.
What do you think of this as a start on the test page for cleaning up the Races section?

Not totally satisfied with it, but I tried breaking it out by source, and it just didn't make a ton of sense.
It looks great! I feel we may need more defined categories for DM Discretion and Miscellaneous since it's such a huge block and the difference between them isn't entirely clear. I had the thought of separating them into Bestial (based on an animal), Monstrous (goblinoids, orc, etc), and Planar (associated with planes, like Aasimar, Genasi, and Gith). It's not perfect since the distinction between Bestial and Monstrous can get tricky (are Yuan-Ti Bestial because they're associated with snakes, or are they monstrous for being abominations? Where does the Minotaur fit?), but having some sort of defined categories in addition to PHB options and Setting Specific would be useful.

I was thinking stick with the "Monster" and "Exotic" race categories, and just have all the races that can appear in the original D&D settings in those categories, while the MTG races get their own category.
Is the MTG universe considered to be a D&D setting now, like Ebberon, Greyhawk and Dragonlance?
Sorry, been a busy week, had this in the back of my mind off and on. Ended up making a few more updates based on feedback from you guys, what do you think? Renamed them, and split the old 'DM Discretion' section into Exotic and Monstrous races as suggested. Also added the UA section for the new lineages.
i think the test page looks amazing! none of the sections are overfilled, the setting-specific races are clearly distinguished, and there's room to add to it as needed. i'd be happy if the main page was updated to match it, though you may want to wait until you get more feedback from others. glad to have you back!

So question since we're discussing the main page… what do you all think about having the Heroic Chronicle section added to the main page? They've been on the test page for a while, just never moved them to the main page.
And yes, I left off the favorite foods sections from the sources, it was a lot of typing as it is, and that just looked horribly tedious. :)
